Back from the Dead

It's been far too long. 

I was on hiatus. I needed to take care of some real life issues. I am proud to say that everything is finally back in order. It had been a looooong struggle since after Christmas. Now I can finally get some real sleep. (I kid you not, I've been averaging 3-4 hours)

But now I'm back for good. 

I did a few drawings here and there. I'll be posting them within the week.

I was able to attend Metrocon and the Tampa Bay Comic Con here in Florida. First time ever going to a con. It was too much fun. I cosplay the Riddler (I may post pics) and it was so nice to get such positive feedback at events like that. I spent a lot of money and time on the costume. Nothing like feeling validated. So satisfying! I got interviewed for the local radio and my picture showed up in the local paper.

And oh my God, all the art! I loaded up on the prints. Many I had previously favorited here on dA. All these great Mass Effect related works and one of Mikasa from Attack on Titan. Can't wait to get them all framed. 

Speaking of Mass Effect, if I can manage to keep on track with my weight loss, I should be able to cosplay my custom Commander Shepard, Amelia, next year. Just in time for Megacon in Orlando. It's going to be a lofty goal. Pricey and I need to keep myself motivated.

I broke down and started watching Game of Thrones along with the rest of humanity. IT IS SO GOOD. I can see why everyone watches it. I'm all caught up now, I just finished the season 4 finale a couple days ago. 

Haven't seen Guardians of the Galaxy yet, which is unheard of for me. Everyone at work is used to me seeing superhero related movies at either midnight or during a marathon the day before. Soon, though. *shakes fist*

If any of you aren't watching The Strain on FX, you really should be. I read the books the show is based off of, and I am super impressed with the way things are in the show right now. 

On Thursday I'll be going on a day trip to Disney with my best friend from work. Just the two of us. I am terribly excited. And on Sunday I'll be back for another day trip with my mom and sisters. My middle sister has been away at Yellowstone National Park on an internship (since MAY! She comes back on the 16th) and she wanted to go before she went back to school. 

Also, I have a tumblr now: aluvian.tumblr.com - I'll be gradually posting my art, random fanfiction drabbles, as well as any screenshots and videos from my various Mass Effect playthroughs. 

GAH I HAVE MISSED YOU ALL SO MUCH!
